Nature & Purpose of Position:The Graduate Student position at the Food Pantry involves a leadership role in the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of the Food Pantry services within the College of Health Sciences. This position requires a high level of responsibility and initiative, from coordinating volunteer activities to managing inventory and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The graduate student will act as a liaison between the Food Pantry, university departments, and community partners. The Graduate Student position aims to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the Food Pantry by leveraging advanced skills in project management, community engagement, and program evaluation. The role aims to ensure the seamless operation of the Food Pantry, improve its services, and expand its impact on food insecurity within the university community. Additionally, this position provides the graduate student with opportunities for professional development, including leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, while fostering a deep commitment to community service.
Other Requirements for the Position:Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more.
