Field Supervisor - Teacher Education
Empire State University Teacher Education Programs are seeking secondary education field supervisors in several New York State Regions. Field supervisors will observe, provide constructive feedback to students during their clinical placements. They will meet with the teacher mentor, and candidate after each observation to debrief. Field supervisors will be required to submit electronic observation submissions by the appropriate due dates. Supervisors are needed in the following regions and certification areas:
- Special Education 1-6 - Statewide
- Special Education 7-12 - Statewide
- Science (all secondary certification areas) - Statewide
- Math - Statewide
- Spanish - Statewide
- English Language Arts - Statewide
- Social Studies - Statewide
- Early Childhood Education B-2 - Statewide
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Professional or permanent New York State certification in the specified certification area or School Administrator/Building Leader certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching or teacher supervision experience, with at least 3 years being a secondary classroom teacher of record
- Ability to use technology (email, electronic observation submissions, printer/scanner access, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Observation experience
- Knowledge of New York State Teaching Standards
Special Information: - Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. VISA sponsorship is not available for these positions.
Additional Information:
Salary: $123 per observation (plus travel for certain positions).
