The Cell Culture Development group in Framingham operates within the larger biologics development group as part of Sanofi's CMC organization. The Cell Culture Development group is responsible for the development, characterization, scale-up, and tech transfer of robust and manufacturable cell culture processes for the production of therapeutic proteins. The group operates across a large array of scales and functionalities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work with his/her supervisor to design, plan and conduct cell culture experiments to investigate how process parameters modulate product quality attributes and process performance.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work both individually on cell culture experiments as well as part of the larger cell culture team to support group project work.
  • The candidate will develop a diverse skill set in cell culture development platforms potentially including seed train development, media development, high throughput techniques, benchtop bioreactors, etc. as these skills pertain to process development.
  • The candidate will develop an understanding of cell culture processes and how to use this understanding to address process optimization problems within the context of development, characterization, and scale-up of cell processes for biologics development.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in biotechnology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2026
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your co-op with Sanofi
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op
  • Must have permanent US work authorization
