Job Title: Senior Engineering Consultant (Contingent Resource)

Job Description:

As a Senior Engineering Consultant, you will:

• Consult as an Expert: Develop and influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Engineering.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Address and resolve highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas. Deliver long-term, large-scale solutions that require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking.
• Leadership Engagement: Provide expertise to senior leadership on innovative Engineering business solutions and strategically engage with client personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a catalyst in improving operations practices, migrating to new practices with cleanup and simplification.
• Define processes and improve adoption of best practices.
• Facilitate incident management calls to support private and public cloud operations teams.
• Contribute technically through operational readiness reviews and assessment deliverables.
• Validate operations activities and address deviations and exceptions.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Extensive hands-on experience with IaaS and OpenShift/Container operations in Public/On-Prem Cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems administration in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated expertise as an influencer in process, framework, and incident resolution.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, business units, and external partners to effectively transform the IT landscape to meet demand.
