Description: Our client is currently seeking a Educational Interpreter in Evans, GA!

Job Details: Ongoing Contract (08/2024-05/2025) - W2, Weekly Pay, Benefits Available!

Location: Evans, GA 30809

Hours: Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience

**2 Students: 1 Elementary and 1 Middle School; On site at 1 location**

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Provides interpreting and other support service for deaf and hearing-impaired students to facilitate communication among hearing-impaired students and their hearing peers, classroom teachers, and other personnel
  
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas effectively to students and staff
• Interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with students, parents, administrators and staff
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
  
• Interacts in a professional manner with students, parents, and teachers
• Provides services to students, parents, and teachers for conferences according to District policies
• Maintains confidentiality of students and student records
• Works cooperatively with school administrators, teachers, support personnel, parents, and community agencies
• Enforces regulations concerning student conduct and discipline
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must hold a current Georgia Quality Assurance Screening (G-QAS) rating of Level III or higher in both interpreting and transliterating, as approved and maintained by the Georgia Department of Labor/Vocational Rehabilitation Program (DOL/VRGDL/VRP)
