This role will be based out of our home office location in Bentonville, Arkansas, and relocation to this location will be required. Additionally, please note that this position does not support immigration-related employment benefits, including H-1B, TN, L-1, or STEM Extension.
We are seeking a seasoned, forward-thinking Director, Global Merchandising for Fresh to join our high-impact Global Leverage Team. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping the future of our operations across key markets in China, Mexico, and the US. The successful candidate will play a central role in aligning product offerings, driving market synergies, and identifying cross-market opportunities. This position is integral to our One Sam's Club initiative, which aims to create a consistent yet locally adaptable product portfolio that resonates with members across all three regions.
As part of the Global Leverage Team, you'll be tasked with fostering collaboration between Sam's Club operations in the US, Mexico, and China to amplify growth, elevate the member experience, and streamline business operations. Your focus will be on establishing a unified global shopping experience through the Member's Mark brand, while simultaneously leveraging global resources to overcome regional challenges in product development, sourcing, and supply chain management.
This role is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of driving global business growth, leveraging cross-market collaboration, and enhancing the global brand presence of Sam's Club in the Fresh category.

Leading Cross-Market Synergy: Guide the Global Leverage Team in executing strategies that effectively integrate product offerings across the US, Mexico, and China markets. Optimize product selection and identify strategic leverage opportunities to drive performance and growth.

Driving One Sam's Club: Ensure alignment in product offerings across regions, balancing global consistency with market-specific adaptations to maximize member engagement, satisfaction, and sales.

Expanding Markets and Fostering Innovation: Identify emerging market opportunities and ensure product offerings evolve to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and shifting member preferences, thereby supporting business growth and diversification.

Facilitating Global Collaboration: Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including merchants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams across all regions, to foster seamless communication and the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large, high-profile projects in a global environment.
- In-depth knowledge of retail dynamics and consumer behavior in the US, Mexico, and China.
- Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership, with a focus on team development, performance management, and operational execution.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising , or related field and 5 years' experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area. OR 7 years' experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
2 years' supervisory experience.
