What you will do
- Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy in alignment with its mission, vision, and goals.
- Provide financial analyses, insights and guidance to the executive leadership team to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements to achieve short-term and long-term financial objectives including; profitability and growth objectives.
- Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Lead the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors.
- Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for key risks of the business to support corporate enterprise risk management activities.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures that enhance financial controls and minimize risks.
- Stay current on regulatory and industry changes, ensuring compliance across all financial practices.
- Collaborate with peers in operations, sales, and other departments to develop commercial terms and ensure financial viability of key customers and vendor contracts and agreements.
- Analyze pricing models, cost structures, and market opportunities to enhance profitability and competitiveness.
- Support M&A activities, including identification and execution of new business opportunities to support growth objectives including financial due diligence and integration planning.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to foster professional growth and ensure high performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the finance function of Travero and with the corporate finance function of Alliant Energy.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting or related field required.
- Master's Degree Finance, Accounting or CPA preferred.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, ideally in the logistics industry.
- Five years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in risk management, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- High integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in logistics, manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial tools.
- Track record of success in leading cross-functional initiatives and driving business results.
