SUMMARY

The Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing complex datasets to extract valuable insights and drive informed decision-making. The Data Scientist will utilize statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and programming skills to clean, organize, and interpret data. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings effectively.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis relevant to execute analytical experiments to help solve manufacturing problems.

Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Possess advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling, relevant experience with Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery, ML tools, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS)

Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) I level preferred. These include A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, and SSCP.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collects, categorizes, and analyzes data.

Creates, validates, tests, and updates algorithms and models.

Uses data visualization software to present findings.

Makes business recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis.

Coordinates with stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions.

Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize experiences and other business outcomes.

Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

Identifies and integrates new datasets that can be leveraged to enhance manufacturing outcomes

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preference given to DoD or Federal Government industry experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The pay range for this role is 110K - 145K. This salary range is representative of the various ranges found within the professional sector across the United States, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
