RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Technician to join their team for a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This will be a part time opportunity, working from 7am-1pm Monday and Tuesday. This role involves working across our three data centers in the Bay Area: in San Jose, San Mateo, and Woodside.Responsibilities:- Data Center Technician will rack, stack, and dress servers, power distribution units (PDUs), and switches
- Maintain an accurate inventory of assets in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Perform maintenance work during scheduled change windows
- As a Data Center Technician, you will adhere to company standards and protocols for all operations
- Manage and resolve tickets using ServiceNow or other ticketing systems
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in live production data center/colocation environments
- Strong understanding of proper change management practices
- Proficiency in working with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to company standards
- Experience with Sunbird DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) software
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
