RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Data Architect to join their team on a 6-month contract opportunity. Local candidates would be preferred that can go onsite, but the manager is open to remote for the right candidate.Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect with 8+ years of experience to join our team. This role will be pivotal in designing and building our warehousing domain data interface. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor capable of leading design discussions, making informed design decisions, and collaborating with stakeholders to create canonical data models.Key Responsibilities:- Data Architect will lead and participate in design discussions to provide deep insights and guide design decisions
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and define canonical data models
- Spearhead system design and data engineering projects, ensuring optimal solutions are applied
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and Databricks
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality and best practices
- As a Data Architect, you will implement and promote code reusability across projects
- Utilize Unity Catalog for data governance and compliance
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of data engineering solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong expertise in the warehousing domain and supply chain concepts
- Deep understanding of system design principles and data architecture
- Proven experience with Databricks, data governance, and data engineering best practices
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Experience with data modeling tools and frameworks
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and hands-on experience with Databricks
- Familiarity with system design concepts relevant to data architecture
- Knowledge of data governance practices, including the use of Unity Catalog
- Excellent coding skills and experience in conducting detailed code reviews
- Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and comprehensive project records
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives as an individual contributor
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
