DiscoverX is searching for a Scientific Study Coordinator/Data Analyst I, to join our team in St. Charles MO.

The Data Analyst supports the development, execution and reporting of Eurofins Discovery sales, marketing and operational KPI's and uses data to provide insights to support the business's strategic and operational needs. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with analyzing and presenting data from multiple sources to extract trends and derive business insights.

The Analytics and Business Intelligence group at Eurofins is a small, agile, cross-disciplinary team that uniquely fuses together a deep understanding of the drug discovery process with technical expertise in database engineering, data modeling, UI / front-end development, and statistics. We work closely with Executives and Scientist across our organization to build applications that turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

To help carry us further, we're searching for an experienced data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in pattern recognition and all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, you should be committed to transforming data into readable and actionable, goal-driven reports.

Scientific Study Coordinator/Data Analyst I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Identify and recommend new ways to streamline business processes
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
  • Training end users on new reports and dashboards
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems
The ideal candidate would possess :
  • Experience in handling large data sets and relational databases preferred
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; Salesforce and Google Analytics experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP platforms; AX experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the early Drug Discovery process preferred
  • Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages including Excel, SPSS, SAS, Python and/or R
  • Knowledge of basic Project Management Best Practices and Tools (Project Management Course or equivalent)
  • An advanced degree in a technical discipline - Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance / Economics, or Business Management preferred
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Life Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized, reliable self-starter with strong creative thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with several ongoing concurrent projects
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

This is a full-time, M-F 8am - 5pm with additional hours and overtime, as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance from St. Charles MO are encouraged to apply.
