Job Description

  • Monitors and analyzes project cost estimates, expenditures and forecasts.
  • Reviews subcontracts and purchase orders to obtain budgetary information for proper project budgeting; performs cost/profit analyses on change orders and extra work estimates
  • Maintains logs as needed to track deliverables
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of various essential reports and schedules; i.e., Subcontractor Status Reports, Contract and Change Order Logs, Cost to Complete reports, etc. for the purpose of preparing accurate triannual Forecasts
  • Is familiar with Company accounting systems and how to utilize each
  • Supports project management team in the preparation of CTC Reports and triannual forecasts; assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
  • Coordinate with project management teams to resolve project issues to ensure the completion of the project work according to budget
  • Assist project management team in quantity tracking; executed and quantities to be executed in all project activities for Prince, subcontractors and vendors
  • Assists project management team in claim preparation for all assigned projects
  • Help maintain the cost monitoring system (SPE / HeavyJob / eCMS / DRT)
  • Handles confidential legal and financial information on a regular basis
  • Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements
  • Associate degree in finance, engineering or similar preferred, but not required
  • At least three (3) years of experience within a heavy highway construction environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, namely Excel
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, schedule, organize, and prioritize activities
  • Problem solving - identifies critical issues, seeks relevant information, generates alternatives, logically weighs options
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work well with many different teams
  • Works diligently against deadlines, sets goals and achieves them, persists through obstacles, ensures work is timely and accurate
  • Extreme attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems by analyzing information skillfully and developing alternative solutions
