Job Summary
The Supervisor, Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance Department, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the controller team and business units assigned within, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and maintaining the organization's financial health and compliance. Analyzes and interprets trends and operating results in terms of costs, budgets policies and profit opportunities. Presents findings and makes recommendations to the business unit supporting.
Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with a detail-oriented approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments.
This will be performed primarily Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with regular and predictable attendance required, though times worked outside of these hours will be required to meet deadlines. This job will require minimal travel, up to 15% in a calendar year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting and Analysis:
* Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Analyze financial data and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
* Ensure financial reports comply with current accounting principles and financial reporting
* Accounting Operations:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Controller
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and the closing of accounting periods.
* Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
* Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying up-to-date with existing and new legislation; advising management on needed actions.
* Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and assess any changes necessary.
* Monitor and manage financial risk, including credit, liquidity, and operational
* Team Leadership and Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative, productive
* Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support career development of team members.
* Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
* Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
* Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical
* Develop financial and tax strategies to optimize the company's financial
* Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process, working with various departments to prepare budgets and monitor progress.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial reporting
* Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
* Excellent leadership and team management
* Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly
* Strong communication and interpersonal
Education and Experience:
* Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
* Minimum five (5) years of accounting or finance experience
* Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory or management role
* Preferred:
* Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
* CMA or CPA certification
