RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL that is seeking an IT Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and platforms to support our growing business needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud applications and services.Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain cloud environments (public, private, hybrid) to support enterprise applications and services
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) to streamline operations and deployments
  • Monitor performance metrics, review system logs, and manage alerts to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, configurations, and processes
  • As a Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support ongoing operations and project initiatives
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to optimize efficiency, cost, and performance
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard cloud environments and data


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in IT, with a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and architectures
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services (compute, storage, networking, databases, etc.)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, TCP/IP) and security best practices in cloud environments
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and monitoring tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
