Job Description Summary
The Research Assistant A will be responsible for organizing & assist with managing NIH research projects that are produced within the Department of Surgery. The Research Assistant A will develop skills in planning, implementation, and conducting retrospective and prospective clinical trials as well as managing institutional and national datasets.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the RA-A include, but are not limited to, assisting study coordinators with recruitment and enrollment; collection of study data per protocol under the supervision of nurse researcher/project manager & study coordinators; pulling data from electronic health records; inputting data into electronic CRFs in dedicated electronic data capture (EDC) systems and/or study databases; organizing, maintaining, and assuring the accuracy of some study documentation; schedule study follow-up visits, escorting participants to testing/procedure areas; assisting study coordinators with various administrative tasks as assigned. Completing required research certifications, e.g. CITI, HIPAA & GCP.
This position is contingent upon funding.
Requirements:
H.S. Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience or combined equivalent.
