CWAs are also responsible for member check-ins and assisting at special events including DRIA team rentals, outside rentals, and special events/programs. Finally, this position will assist cleaning and maintaining equipment including climbing shoes, harnesses, climbing ropes, carabiners, and rock holds.Job Description

Responsibilities

• Knowing and enforcing the Climbing Wall rules consistently
• Belaying climbers
• Shoe rentals and sanitization
• Completing daily checks and checklists as required
• Customer service (member check-in, etc.)
• Maintaining a courteous and polite demeanor
• Attending staff meetings and trainings as required
• Meeting evaluation expectations (including orientation quizzes and other follow-ups)
• Working special events as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Verifying member reservations
• Wall opening/closing duties
• Climbing equipment safety inspections

Qualifications

All candidates must have experience climbing and belaying. Candidates with their Climbing Wall Instructor Certification (CWI) are preferred, but it is not a requirement.
