The primary responsibility of a Cell Therapy Technologist in the Cell Therapy Laboratory is the preparation and characterization of cellular products used for therapeutic applications. These duties must be performed in compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure the highest possible quality cell product.
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs procedures in compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and institutional regulations and with appropriate standards developed by professional organizations. Follows all applicable Cell Therapy Laboratory standard operating procedures. Participates in continuing education, including internal or external training for new technical procedures, attending lectures, audioconferences, grand rounds, and presentations.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or biological science with MT certification required. Prior experience in cell processing, clinical laboratory and/or cell culture techniques is preferred. Strong clinical laboratory skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commitment to serving the needs of cancer patients required.
