This position is responsible for the oversight and administrative duties of the Autodesk Revit software, as well as the support and improvement of its users' knowledge base. Works closely with our VDC team to ensure the software has the tools needed, the knowledge of how to use them, and the ability to develop new and/or troubleshoot existing tools to fit the needs of the organization.

Duties may include but are not limited to the setup and maintenance of current Revit tools and the ability to train others. Revit Family creation and organization. New tool creation where needed, as well as the ability to collaborate with the users and their leaders to improve efficiency and quality of work.

This position is responsible for managing the training content related to the BIM software, collaborating with IT on new installs, updates, licenses, etc. This position would participate on our Autodesk Governance team for alignment across the organization's various software platforms, being the BIM systems stakeholder.

The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, able to bring experience and insight, and the ability to lead a small team centered around the support and improvement of the software. The ideal candidate would also be proficient in the following:

  • Revit
  • BIM360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Navisworks is a plus
  • Other Autodesk Suite software
  • Tools/Add-ins
    • UNIFI, Clarity, Revit Express Tools, Ideate Explorer, Bird Tools, and/or Productivity Now knowledge is a plus
  • Programming languages/capabilities:
    • Revit API, Dynamo, Python, and/or C# experience is a plus
  • A strong understanding of building design and construction practices is a plus
  • Experience in electrical and structural within Revit is a plus
  • Bluebeam Studio or other pdf document markup software is a plus


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a technology field

Experience: 6 years of advanced modeling experience

or

Education: Technology - Related Specialized Degree/Training

Experience: 12 years of advanced modeling experience with Revit and 4+ years of large project experience

Travel: 10-25%

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday;

However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees and administers the Autodesk Revit software and provides necessary user support.
  • Oversees user access, licenses, accounts.
  • Oversees and collaborates with IT on installs, updates, features, and add-ins.
  • Oversees holistic tools. Add-ins and manages documentation and standards of the software and tools. Collaborates with customers for need and functionality of tools and add-ins.
  • Collaborates with customers throughout various departments and assists in standards and workflow creation and enforcement.
  • Oversees training (PNOW) of software specific content. Collaborates with customers (users and internal departments) for various levels of training and manages training content accordingly.
  • Delegates tool and add-in maintenance, development, training, and support to BIM Technicians and BIM Specialists.
  • Monitors overall usage, efficiency, improvements, and support of software and tools and add-ins.
  • Aligns with customers' needs and other administrators.
  • Acts as expert in designated software, assists and guides users, technicians, and specialists in tasks from a high level.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
