Department purpose
A&O Shearman is seeking a mid-senior associate to join our Financial Services Regulatory team in our New York office. Our Financial Services Regulatory practice focuses on both US and multinational transactions, and our lawyers deliver an integrated service on complex global matters.
Role purpose
A&O Shearman seeks an accomplished associate to join our New York office with 5-7 years of experience focused on all aspects of broker-dealer regulatory. We represent a broad range of clients, such as financial institutions, hedge funds, private banks, asset managers, trade associations, on all aspects of financial matters, and across all industries.
The salary range for this position is $225,000 to $435,000 depending on the candidate's JD year. We offer competitive compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
Team
This individual will report directly to the New York and Washington, D.C. Regulatory partners. The Team also works closely with other partners, associates and staff both in the U.S. and abroad.
Role and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have meaningful broker-dealer experience from a major law firm as well as excellent academic credentials.
