Job Title: Associate Director of US IT

Location: Boston, Dallas

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced IT Associate Director to oversee our IT operations in the US. This role is crucial in leading our IT strategy, ensuring robust operations, and driving technological innovation across the region.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive IT management experience, and a strategic mindset to align IT initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead the implementation of IT strategy within the region, driving priorities and delivering systems and applications development. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the IT team. Oversee recruitment and development of IT staff in the US region. Act as an IT business partner to other US leadership team members.
  • Project and Application Management: Maintain the local project portfolio and ensure the successful deployment, support, and maintenance of IT applications. Manage IT projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with business needs. Support the ERP team in aligning priorities for the US ERP platform (Oracle) with key stakeholders in Finance and Supply Chain.
  • IT Operations: Manage and control vendor and supplier services. Oversee end-user support and ensure proper escalation to Galderma IT support or third parties. Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure, following global standards and strategy. Utilize IT service management across the organization.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate with local market management on corporate IT projects and assist in local implementations. Prepare performance reports for upper management. Advise local market management on IT-related matters to support sustainable growth.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure IT security and compliance with corporate standards, security rules, and IT policies.
  • Finance: Monitor and control local IT budget trends and actuals, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Assist in defining local IT budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Training and Guidance: Guide and train management and supervisors on IT topics. Organize and implement training programs for staff across the region. Facilitate the sharing and use of IT best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role (minimum 8 years).
  • Strong background in IT, with significant presence in the Life Sciences industry being a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, tools, and applications.
  • Demonstrated project and portfolio management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Experience in regional ownership of IT security activities (training, awareness, policies, assessment, etc.).
