We are looking for a Analyst, Regulatory Compliance, Chemical Compliance who will join our team.
This position is an individual contributor that makes functional decisions and takes appropriate actions to ensure compliant filing of regulatory documents. It assists in development and execution of compliance strategies developed as part of the Regulatory Compliance team. This person understands how to interact effectively with wide variety of people, building relationships with Federal and state regulatory agencies related to raw material and/or component compliance. The position is able to compile, review, and summarize large data sets in order to inform business decisions. The position is able to communicate new and existing compliance requirements, impact to timelines and project risks to internal teams.
In this role you will:
•Provides data and information to allow for appropriate decisions to be made. Takes actions to ensure accurate chemical/component setup and compliant filing of regulatory reports to support new product launches and/or product maintenance activities.
• Contributes to the development of impact assessments on emerging regulations. Participates in the creation of company positions.
•Compiles and reports on complex data sets in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Reviews and approves chemicals and chemical components in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
What you'll need to be successful:
• Bachelor's Degree, Chemistry, data sciences, engineering, toxicology
• Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical compliance or data reporting role with a focus on data integrity, project management and process improvement.
• Desired: Specific experience related to lawn and garden pesticides, fertilizers and fertilizer/pesticide combination products. Experience with TSCA, VOCs, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations is a plus
• Working knowledge of regulations (e.g. TSCA, Prop 65, GHS, etc.).
• Awareness of other related regulations (e.g., FIFRA, fertilizer registration, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret regulations to understand changes and inform decisions
• Demonstrated success in translating complex regulatory topics and data to a wide variety of audiences
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $65,900.00 - $77,500.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
