Adams & Martin Group is working with a dynamic and client-focused personal injury law firm in Santa Ana, CA, seeking a motivated Junior Paralegal to join their team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in personal injury law while providing vital support to attorneys and clients. The firm specializes in the catastrophic cases with personal injury and most cases fully litigate and go to trial. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping injured individuals navigate their legal rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake to resolution.
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Conduct preliminary legal research and gather information relevant to case preparation.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
Request, review, and summarize medical records, police reports, and other supporting documents.
Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other case-related appointments.
Monitor deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements and firm protocols.
Provide administrative support, including correspondence preparation and data entry.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution (required).
1-2 years of experience in a legal or administrative setting, preferably in personal injury (preferred but not required).
Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
