POSITION REPORTS TO: Assistant Provost of Academic Innovation

Summary of Position

The ALIC (Allegheny Lab for Innovation & Creativity) Programming Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Provost of Academic Innovation on the logistical facets of ALIC at Bessemer programming. The role includes limited budget management, scheduling, and promotion of ALIC initiatives. The ALIC Programming Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for interested external parties inquiring about ALIC-related initiatives.

What you will do in this role:

As the Programming Coordinator, you will:

  • Promote ALIC Initiatives through a monthly electronic newsletter and direct emails based on information provided by the Assistant Provost regarding existing and upcoming ALIC initiatives using existing templates and formatting
  • Produce payment requests and procure equipment and resources based on information and directives from the Assistant Provost using established internal Allegheny College processes
  • Connecting external parties interested in ALIC programming with the Assistant Provost and providing information and data produced by the Assistant Provost
  • Performs routine tasks to support ALIC and the general operations of the department
  • This position is part time, less than 33 hours per week.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience; office coordination work preferred.
  • Vocational or technical/Associates degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Track record of achieving exceptional results.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

YOUR COMPENSATION

New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.

The expected minimum ranges for this position is $15.80 hourly, non-exempt.
