Operations Supervisor
Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of production to obtain optimum efficiency to meet customer expectations as well as maximize profits.

Job Summary
* Supports the values of the company with emphasis on 'Safety First'.
* Leads, directs, and supervises workers in assigned areas.
* Confers with other managers, supervisors and leads to coordinate efforts.
* Responsible for timely communication and documentation of potential personnel issues.
* Maintains time and attendance records within computer database.
* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
* Recommends measures to improve productions methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Confers with quality assurance and engineering on specific production issues.
* Attends meetings as scheduled.
* Issues written and oral instructions.
* Maintains harmony among workers and resolves concerns
* Standardizes procedures and suggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, departments, or work crew.
* Knowledge of policy and procedures in the event of a Hazardous waste release, fire, or explosion.
* Ability to shut down operations.
* Requisitions and maintains supplies for departments as needed.
* Completes annual reviews of personnel.
* Supports the team in their learning and development.
* Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
* Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Good verbal communication skills - able to share information in-group settings and on a "one-to-one", answer questions both in person and by phone in a clear manner.
* Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. Meets deadlines and manage projects.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with integrated ERP systems.
* Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and mylars.
* Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
* Ability to lead a group of people in a constructive, productive, and fair manner.
* Ability to drive root cause analysis to gain from our mistakes.
* Ability to operate a forklift.
* Ability to operate overhead crane and/or hoist.
* Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, height gage, and scales.
* Overtime and weekend work as needed to support manufacturing.
* Ability to maintain confidential information.
* Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook
Required Experience and Education
* Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical schoo
