RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounting Manager in Saint Charles, MO.Duties Include:- Accounts Payable/Accounting Manager manages the team of Senior Accountants and professionals responsible for Corporate Accounting
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff aiming to drive excellence with regard to compliance with US GAAP recognition and process improvement
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions with their area of focus; Building and verifying balance sheet account reconciliation to confirm on completeness and accuracy of month end
- Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit for corporate area
- Directly oversees the AP weekly payment process, and expense recognition
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies for reporting, compliance and process improvement
- As an Accounts Payable/Accounting Manager, you will provide financial analysis to internal stakeholders and senior management
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by the controller
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or commensurate experience
- 8 years of related experience required
- Proven experience leading a successful team
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and its application to expenses
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
- Hands-on leadership and detail-oriented with attention to accuracy
- Professional written and verbal skills to interact with people at various levels and functions
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Although not required, a CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software SAP S/4HANA Experience a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
