Job Description:


The College is seeking a full-time Accounting Instructor for our Business and Professional Programs Division. This position reports to the Dean and is a full-time tenure track faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching a full-time course load of accounting courses and working with four-year colleges to design and develop transfer and articulation agreements. Other responsibilities include assessment, course development, program review, and collaborating with faculty across divisions and as part of the college community. A full-time teaching load generally consists of 15-16 credit hours per semester. Faculty are expected to hold office hours, support recruitment and enrollment efforts, and engage in college committee work. Other duties may be assigned by the Dean.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Teach a full-time course load of Accounting courses to include but not limited to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Income Tax Accounting, Internal Auditing, or other Accounting Courses;
  • Hold office hours for students;
  • Design and administer assessment instruments;
  • Participate in course development and program implementation in collaboration with other faculty in the division;
  • Participate in divisional activities, including student retention and program review;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:


  • A Master's degree in Accounting, or a Master's degree with 18 credit hours in the accounting discipline.
  • Teaching experience at the college level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5 years of accounting experience.

Salary: $48,878/year
