This position starts at $18.90 per hour. and an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.

The Material Handler job consists of a wide variety of responsibilities. This person will operate a PIT and is responsible for inspecting it at the start of each shift, and will be expected to operate PIT safely, data entry in Tyson computer systems, etc.

Job Duties:

• Be capable of learning product codes, knowing where product belongs and keeping pre-blend cooler organized.
  
• Must operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport raw product to and from coolers and production areas.
  
• Responsible for weighing and recording of weight of finished ground product.
  
• Must be able to read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork.
  
• Ability to visually inspect product.
  
• Must wear necessary safety equipment, etc.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be willing and able to lift and carry 60 pounds.
  
• The Team Member will be regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility.
  
• The Team Member will work in extremely cold temperatures.
  
• The Team Member will move from one area of production to another.
  

Qualifications:

• Must have 3 months operator experience within the last year (can be a combination of employers as long as equals 3 months)
  

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
