About the Role

As an Operations Intern, you will be working in a fast-paced team environment. You will be responsible for contacting carriers to obtain the status of shipments and monitor shipments for on-time pick-up, transit, delivery, and along with other varies tasks. Your primary job accountability will be Customer Relationship - Consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt, and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying service failures, etc. What the Candidate Will Do

• Contact carrier to obtain status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment for on-time pick-up, transit, delivered, empty.
• Update load status in system, e.g., loaded, pick-up, delivery, empty, etc.
• Notify Shipper and/or Receiver of Load Status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary.
• Set-up New Locations (Shippers/Receivers); (Assign vendor code, contact vendor to determine shipping dates, hours, or operations, etc.)
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses.
• Set appointments as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelors in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field of study
• Ability to work in Rogers, Arkansas
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours, between 6/2/2025 - 08/08/2025

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills including e-mail, routine database activity, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Basic Math (Includes aptitude to learn how to calculate mileage as it relates to the passage of time)
• Service Orientation (Commits to and enjoys providing exceptional service to internal and external customers)
• Keen interest in growing a career in logistics and transportation as demonstrated by course work, written work, research, internships, etc.
• Detailed and multi-task oriented (ability to prioritize and manage many tasks)
• Exceptional interpersonal communications (demonstrated ability to develop rapport and garner trust with peers, customers, classmates, professors, former employers, etc.)
• Can demonstrate an aptitude to manage difficult situations objectively and rationally (a thick skin; roll with the punches; resourceful)
